SHARED POINTERS 0.2.0 — WINDOWS COMPANION TEST BUILD

SETUP FOR PARTICIPANTS
1. Extract the whole ZIP into a permanent folder. Do not run inside the ZIP.
2. Open SharedPointers.exe. Keep service.json beside it; this supplies the
   stable coordinator address https://api.pointer.digitalnatives.ie automatically.
Leave the prefilled address unchanged on a new installation.
3. Click Sign in with Discord and approve identity access in your browser.
4. Choose the display you share if you will be presenting.
5. Tick Enable shared pointers automatically in my voice channel.
6. Click Save and run in background. Optionally enable Run when I sign in to Windows.

You do NOT need a bot token, client secret, or Server Setup. Never ask another
participant to send you credentials. Use the companion's Discord sign-in.

USING IT
Both people need the companion enabled and must join the same server voice
channel. The Shared Pointers Discord app must be installed in that server.
Presenter: start normal Go Live and share the ENTIRE selected display.
Viewer: open that stream FULLSCREEN in the Discord desktop app. Hold RIGHT CTRL
and move your mouse to point. Release Right Ctrl to stop pointing.

The presenter sees named coloured pointers. Other Discord viewers see the same
pointers through the shared display when Discord captures the desktop overlay.
With several streams, select the presenter under Point at in the system tray.
The app cannot tell which stream you are watching or where a resized video sits.

CONTROLS
Double-click the tray icon for Settings. Pause from the tray or press
CTRL + SHIFT + F12. Block/allow individuals in Settings. Quit from the tray to
exit completely. Pointers start disabled until you explicitly enable them.

HELP AND REQUIREMENTS
Windows x64, Discord desktop app, internet connection. This is an unsigned test
build. Contact @daniel2459 on Discord for help; never send passwords or tokens.
The coordinator is hosted on Oracle at https://api.pointer.digitalnatives.ie.
Normal participants do not need to keep a Windows Server Setup window running.
If you used the old temporary address, open Settings, change Coordinator address
to https://api.pointer.digitalnatives.ie, save, and sign in with Discord again.
Your previous sign-in belongs to the retired Windows coordinator. New-origin
Discord sign-in has been verified. Contact the host if you need help signing in.
Window-only capture, cropped/tiled video, exclusive fullscreen games and other
capture methods may misalign or omit pointers. Test the corners and center first.

For server administrators only: install the Discord app once in your server:
https://discord.com/oauth2/authorize?client_id=1565466091977707660
Give it View Channels access to the voice channel you will use. Participants
do not need a separate coordinator; the test host manages the shared service.

Support, Terms and Privacy:
https://pointer.digitalnatives.ie/
The website address is separate from the coordinator address in service.json.

Local app data is in %LOCALAPPDATA%/SharedPointers. Sign-in tokens use Windows
DPAPI. The app transmits identity/channel metadata and opt-in pointer positions;
it does not transmit screen pixels, video, audio, clicks or keyboard input.
Keep this folder in a permanent location if you enable Windows sign-in startup.
Disable startup in Settings before removing or moving the app.
